Additional Details
Jewish spirituality offers many resources and practices to support people on the mourner’s path. This virtual program is for anyone who identifies as bereaved, in grief, or is walking the path of a mourner. Whether you’ve experienced a recent loss, a life-changing transition involving loss, or you want to honor your memory of a loved one who died years ago, you are welcome in this place of comfort and support. We will also hold space for general grief about the losses, uncertainty, and conflicts unfolding in the wider world.
In each circle meeting, we will explore one facet of Jewish mourning practices, read some poetry that touches on loss, share memories, explore our grief around general pain and anguish in the world, and say the Mourner’s Kaddish together. This ancient prayer is recited when remembering loved ones we’ve lost and helps us to connect with our grief.
