Jewish Culture Club
How do different Jewish lenses inform how we view the world and how we are viewed?
In Jewish Culture Club, we will explore three types of media (book, film, and podcast). We’ll discuss how different Jewish lenses inform how we view the world and how we are viewed.
Additional Details
Jewish Culture Club will be facilitated by Miriam Kapner, Judaism Your Way’s Program & Engagement Manager.
Session 1: Will focus on Rabbi Caryn Aviv’s recently published book, Unlearning Jewish Anxiety: How to Live with More Joy and Less Suffering.
Session 2: Will focus on the film, Bad Shabbos, available on Netflix.
Session 3: Will focus on the 12/10/25 podcast episode of Chutzpod: Our Traditional Untraditional Torah Study, available wherever you get your podcasts.
Some questions that we will be addressing include:
- How might changing our habits improve our happiness?
- What is Jewish about Jewish humor?
- How can Jewish texts and interpretations help us learn more about ourselves?
