Looking for a way to connect your family to Judaism, community, and volunteering in a hands-on, meaningful way?
Through this family-centered program, we create community and practice the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world.

Changing the World Together is a program for elementary-aged children and their grown-ups to build community, learn about Judaism, and practice the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world through through hands-on service projects. We’ll partner with other local non-profit organizations doing transformative work in our community. This year all of our sessions will focus around the Jewish value of “Hachnasat Orchim,” or “being welcoming.”
New this year: There will be two cohorts – Boulder/North Denver and Denver/South Denver. PLEASE NOTE: The Denver/South Denver cohort is full for the 2023-2024 year. Please consider registering for the Boulder/North Denver cohort!
The cost of this program is $180 – which is for the entire family and includes all programs!
Program Dates
Each program will take place on a Sunday from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm and will include an interactive service project. Project locations will be announced soon!

We also will have two optional Shabbat Gatherings during the year (November 17 & April 12) and an optional project on MLK day (January 15) with the Judaism Your Way community.
Why Focus on Tikkun Olam?
At Judaism Your Way, there are so many ways to do and be Jewish. Tikkun Olam is the Jewish idea that it is important for humans to create the world they want to live in and repair anything that feels broken.
Working toward a more perfect world includes your relationships with others and taking particular care for those people and species who have been harmed.
In this program, we’ll engage in acts of kindness (gemilut chasadim) across a range of issues to help students begin to explore their strengths and passions for creating positive, sustained change in the world.

Since one of our primary goals of this program is community building and because the content will build from one session to the next, please do not register unless you are able to attend all four sessions.
